Hazel Annette Lecy, 74, of Fort Smith, died Monday, Feb. 26, 2007, at Sparks Regional Medical Center at Fort Smith.
She was born Oct. 23, 1932 at Delaware to James Taylor and Margie Lucille Deeds Rollans.
She retired from Sparks Regional Medical Center as a Registered Nurse after 35 years of service and was a member of the Goddard Methodist Church at Fort Smith. Hazel loved the outdoors, was very caring towards others and was loved by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Russell Lecy; a son, Farrell Randolph; and two brothers, Olphus and John Edward Rollans.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Darryl "Rudy" and Tammy Fielder of Fort Smith; a brother and sister-in-law, Alphus and Linda Rollans of Porterville, Calif.; a sister, Helen Gentry of London; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Friday at the Shinn Chapel with the Rev. Wade Shownes officiating. Burial was in Graves Cemetery near Delaware, under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.
The family will also conduct a memorial service at a later date in Fort Smith.
Active pallbearers were Doug Harlen Jr., Danny Robertson, Samuel Childers, Aaron Childers, William Scott, and Alvin McCoy. Honorary pallbearers were Roger Blair, Eugene Points, and Raymond Burns.
