Tobacco Town robbed Sunday

Atkins police are currently investigating a burglary that took place Sunday just after midnight. According to Chief Charles Martin, thieves broke into Tobacco Town, located at 903 N. Church St., and stole $4,000 in merchandise. Martin asked that anyone who has any information on the crime or saw anything unusual around the store during that time contact the Atkins Police at 641-1811 or the Pope County Sheriff's Office at 968-2558.
