Nancy Young

Nancy Young, 80, of Atkins, died Friday, March 16, 2007, at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Morrilton.

She was born April 23, 1926, in Atkins. She was a member of the Memorial Presbyterian Church, and was a former employee of Howard’s and Lefler’s in Russellville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, R.S. and Margaret Yarnell Hughey, her lifelong partner, E.A. Darr, and a sister, Julia Gray.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Finis Duvall, of Russellville; a son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Sherry Young, of Russellville; brother, Rife Hughey II and wife Annette, Nashville, Tenn.; brother-in-law, Joe Gray and wife, Doris of Atkins; grandsons, John Duvall of Russellville, and Robert Young and wife, Stephanie, of Russellville; granddaughter, Sarah Stroud and her husband, Dr. Michael Stroud of Little Rock; great-grandchildren, Ashley Duvall, Sydney Young, Sophie Young, and Dylan Stroud, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Tuesday at Lemley Funeral Chapel, the Rev. David Davies officiating.

Pallbearers were Michael Stroud, Robert Young, Gary Murdoch, Van Allen Tyson, John Duvall, and Elmo Haney. Honorary pallbearers were George Bailey, Butch Hays, Jim Lemley, the "Berkys", Dorothy Wiley, Polly Tackett, and Genevieve Lemley.
