Lucy Smith
Lucy Christine Smith, 77, passed away Feb. 14, 2008, at her home in Quinlan, Texas.
Christine was born on April 5, 1930, in Clarksville to the late Isabella and Buren Lipe and lived most of her school years in Clarksville and Ola. She joined The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in 1971 and has remained steadfast since that time.
She is preceded in death by a brother, Corkey Lipe.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne; her two children who adored her, Rick Smith and Linda Garrett, her loving daughter-in-law Linda Smith and her son-in-law, who she referred to as her favorite child, Ken Garrett. She had eight grandchildren, Jamie, Scott, Jennifer, Kristen, Chris, Jonathan, Tyler and Brandon and three great grandchildren, Madi, Laila and Hudson; two nephews, Larry and Kenny Lipe of Tulsa, Okla.
Funeral services were Monday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Hwy 27, North of Danville, with Elder Hirschi and Bro. Robert Brumfield officiating. Burial was at Salem Cemetery at Plainview, under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
