Tom Cloud

Tom Cloud, 70, of Dover, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008, at his home.
The son of Lee and Dora Dean Carter Cloud, he was born Sept. 20, 1937, in Dover.
He was a 1955 graduate of Dover High School. Tom and Ina Lay were married on Nov. 4, 1955, at Dover. Tom’s career with the U.S. Department of Agriculture spanned 35 years as a poultry grader, retiring in 1994. He was a lifetime member of the Cloud Deer Camp, which he also operated for eight years. He was a founding member of the Ouachita Mountain Wood Carvers Association and was an avid bluegrass music fan. He was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church, including Waldron and Dover, where he taught Sunday school class for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Ina Cloud of Dover; two sons and two daughters-in-law, Douglas and Rhonda Cloud of Dover and Danny and MaryAnn Cloud of Dover; five grandchildren, DeiDre, Deborah and Nick Cloud and Shawn Price all of Dover, Misty Lackey and her husband of Vilonia; a great-granddaughter, Emma Lackey of Vilonia; and a sister, Joyce Walters of Dover.
Memorial services were Saturday at Dover United Methodist Church. The Honorable Bill Wilson, and Reverend Donna Alberts officiated. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
