Aretha Marshall

Aretha I. Marshall, 89, of Atkins died on June 5, 2006 at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

She was born March 3, 1917 in Lonoke and was the daughter of late Garthea and Plasana Hayes Smith. She was a homemaker, a member of the Norris Chapel Baptist Church, member of the Eastern Star and Women Mission.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Elliot (Fat Bill) Littles and a brother, Clarence Smith.

Survisors include her husband, Isaac Marshall of Atkins; a daughter, Virginia Wilson of Russellville; a sister, Katherine Collins of Atkins; and two grandchildren, Lacretia Marsh of Dallas and Jessica Thomas of Russellville.

Funeral services were Saturday at the Allen Chapel AME Church with Rev. Emory Moore officiating. Burial was in the Allen Chapel Cemetery by Larry G. Acklin Funeral Service of Morrilton.
